The Recycling and Solid Waste Center (RSWC) is located at 160 Commercial Avenue, and is open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The RSWC has drop-off areas for garbage, single stream recyclables, food scraps, yard waste and additional materials (i.e. electronics, batteries and rigid plastics).

Food Scraps Recycling

Users can bring up to 10 gallons of food scraps and paper towels and napkins per day, at no charge, to the Drop-off area of the Recycling and Solid Waste Center (RSWC).

Food Waste Prevention

The average American household discards about a quarter of food purchases, which adds up over the course of the year. This is like dropping one in four bags of groceries in the parking lot and walking away without picking it up, every time you go shopping. By making simple shifts in the way you shop, store and prep food you can reduce food waste in your home.
